Touchscreen & keypad

To edit or clear an existing Speed Dial simply long click on the slot to bring up the Speed Dial menu.

Zoom

Control default text size on Web sites. Depending on your mobile phone screen size, often text can be to small or too large to be viewed easily. Control the default zoom level from 60% to 200% directly in Opera Mobile 10.

Opera Turbo

Opera Turbo uses compression technology which compress Web pages up to 70%, greatly reducing the amount of data used while browsing.

Pay less and get more from your data plan. Opera Turbo saves you both time and money, making Web browsing more enjoyable.

Adaptive zoom

Full Web-page viewing with adaptive zoom allows you to pan and zoom easily into your desired content in just a few clicks. Adaptive zoom will automatically zoom your content to the width of your phone, greatly reducing the amount of horizontal panning and zooming.

Speed Dial pages can be accessed by using the short key * + Speed Dial number. Menus can be accessed with # + menu option. Opera Widgets Manager v10.00.451 Beta S60v3/v5 SymbianOS9.x Signed​

The Opera Widget manager is a standalone application allowing you to organize and run widgets independently of the browser. The manager integrates with Opera’s distribution channel for widgets – widgets.opera.com – and responds to files with a .wgt extension.​

The Widget manager brings widgets to the S60 platform at the touch of a button. The build does not include the Opera browser component – the build has been made available so that developers can test and build Opera Widgets even before our product hits the market.​

Several new features have been added in this update. These include:​

* Move widget: Sort your own widget list and put your widgets where you want them
* Send widget: Send your favorite widgets to friends using MMS, Bluetooth or IR (depending on what the phone supports)
* Support for Opera Dragonfly.​

Installation instructions​

1. Either: Download the S60 Widget manager package using the browser on your phone.
2. Or: Locate the installation file in the util/manager folder in the SDK package.
3. Send the file to your device using Bluetooth. This will open a dialogue as seen in Figure 3.
4. Run the installation. The Widget manager will now be available in your application grid.​

To run widgets on your device, do the following:​

1. Create the widget and test it in the Widget Emulator.
2. Zip the contents of the widget directory and give it a ”.wgt” extension.
3. Send it to your device, using Bluetooth, IR or ActiveSync over USB.
4. Locate the package on the device and double click the file to view your widget in action.​

Ngoài các tính năng bình thường bạn có thể thấy trong phần Settings, Opera Mobile (OM) còn ẩn chứa rất nhiều tính năng ẩn bên trong, bao gồm những thông số mang tính hệ thống, chỉnh sửa những thông số này một cách phù hợp sẽ mang lại hiệu quả sử dụng cao hơn, tốn ít bộ nhớ RAM hơn. Và liệu bạn có tin OM cũng là một trình quản lý tập tin không?

Bạn mở OM lên, trên thanh địa chỉ, bạn gõ vào dòng chữ opera:config.

Ngay lập tức, một màn hình ẩn sẽ hiện ra với rất nhiều mục chọn khác nhau. Ở đây bạn chú ý đến mục Disk Cache, là nơi cài đặt các thông số về bộ nhớ RAM mà OM sẽ chiếm dụng khi chạy.

Nhấn chọn mục này sẽ hiện ra danh sách các thông số của nó, bạn kéo xuống cuối danh sách sẽ thấy dòng Size. Mặc định nó đang ở giá trị là 4096, bạn thay giá trị của nó thành 2048, sau đó nhấn nút Save. Hành động này làm cho OM sử dụng ít bộ nhớ RAM hơn, nhưng thay vào đó, tốc độ truy xuất dữ liệu của OM sẽ chậm hơn một chút.

Trong trang config này còn rất nhiều thông số khác để tinh chỉnh cho OM, bạn có thể tự tìm hiểu thêm và cài đặt lại theo ý thích của mình, nhưng nếu chưa hiểu rõ về một thông số nào đó thì bạn đừng nên thay đổi để tránh xảy ra các phiền phức khi sử dụng. Nhấn nút Reset hoặc Default để khôi phục lại các thông số mặc định.

Một tiện ích khác sẽ làm bạn ngạc nhiên, đó là dùng OM như một trình quản lý tập tin như X-plore hay File Mgr. Tuy không mạnh mẽ như X-plore nhưng tiện ích này của OM có thể xem được các định dạng ảnh thông dụng, zoom ảnh như khi lướt web, xem các tập tin văn bản...
