TrackMyJourney v0.6.4​

TMJ-Mobile is a Java mobile phone application that uses GPS data to provide a number of functions, including navigation, location tracking, map display and route plotting. It receives its location coordinates by communicating via Bluetooth with a separate GPS receiver, or via the phones internal GPS if supported. The phones built-in GPRS/3G/GSM data connection is then used to send its location over the internet to the TrackMyJourney website where you can then share your location and recorded tracks with your friends.

Getting Started:

* Register an account with TrackMyJourney
* Download the TMJ-Mobile application to your phone
* Run the program and in the Main Menu>Settings page enter your TMJ Device Username and Password
* Use the Main Menu>GPS>Connect GPS function to search for and connect to your Bluetooth GPS device.
* Add some Waypoints to your TrackMyJourney account. On the phone use the Main Menu>Web>Update Waypoints function to download the Waypoints to the phone. These can then be used for navigation.
* On the phone use the Main Menu>Web>Enable Upload function to start sending your location back to the website.
* Invite your friends to view your progress via the Invitations page

Mobbler v0.3.1- last.fm scrobbler{update 30/10/08}



Mobbler, Mobile Scrobbler, is a last.fm radio player and scrobbler for Nokia S60 3rd edition smartphones. It allows you to listen to your last.fm radio stations and to scrobble tracks played using the Nokia S60 Music Player. Music player scrobbling can be done both whilst you listen, or queued offline to be submitted later.

Warning: Please note that the radio player functionality of mobbler will use a lot of data. The makers of Mobbler can not be held responsible for your phone bill.

Mobbler should be compatible with all Nokia s60 third edition mobile phones. To see a list of these devices then please go here.
Install

Download the SIS file on the right and install mobbler on you phone. Please note that if you are upgrading mobbler, you may need to un-install your current version before installing again.

If you have a 3.0 then you should also install mobblerhelper.sis. If you don't know what your phone is then it won't hurt to install this anyway.

If mobbler won't install, it probably means that your phone does not accept self signed applications. You will need to go to the application manager on your phone and change the software installation setting from signed only to all.

S60 SDL is a Simple DirectMedia Layer adaptation for Symbian S60 phones.



S60 SDL is a Simple DirectMedia Layer adaptation for S60. SDL is a cross-platform multimedia library: Applications and libraries built on SDL can easily be ported to other operating systems. But S60 SDL does more than makes porting easy: S60 multimedia applications can be implemented without deep knowledge of Symbian C++ native API and a developer can use SDL and standard C interfaces. The SDL development supports both Nokia OpenC and Symbian stdlib (ESTLIB) C implementations.

With S60 SDL it is possible to port applications to S60 without a single code change. But there is a special S60 SDL has a special S60 API that makes integration to mobile platform easier to meet mobile needs more closely as in practice S60 devices usually has a small screen and limited input posibilities, CSDL interface helps to do adaptation without changes to the original code base.

The S60 SDL supports OpenGL ES development. Its possible to create SDL Surface for OpenGL ES content and manage that with SDL's platform independent OpenGL API. In S60 devices that dont have hardware accelerated OpenGL, a software rendered is used automatically.

* Protect or recover data: Protect or recover private data on your phone like contacts, messages, images, videos and sounds remotely. Protected data can be recovered later if you know the remote control code.
* Lock or unlock your phone to prevent from unwanted checks.

Notice: All these operations are also available for local operations, not only limited to remote controls!

How anti-theft function works
Anti-theft mode will be triggered when your SIM card was changed. Once anti-theft mode is activated, Phone Alone will call or send text messages to three pre-set notification numbers so you can begin to remote control your lost phone. If notification calls or text messages are not responded within certain time (default is 5 minutes), all data will be protected automatically.

Notice: Whether to enable anti-theft feature is configurable. And protected data can be recovered later if you know the remote control code.​

AvantGo is a good way to read news and RSS feeds to a portable device. It configures easily and can also play off-line

AvantGo is a program with a mission: keep informed via your mobile device. Any kind of news, information and source found on the Internet can be viewed through this program.

The operation is based on the concept of "channel". Some are prepackaged, provided by publishers and easily selectable through the interface, others may be created by inserting a website or an RSS feed of your interest. To download the information and update them is sufficient to execute the operation of sync while you are connected to the Internet. Once these steps you can surf between channels also just updated off-line.

Another convenience offered by the program, which works through an account on the website of the manufacturer. Therefore you can keep in sync more portable devices and perform any maintenance operations, such as the cancellation of channels no longer read, even through the PC. The only limit to this approach is that it has a maximum amount of data transferred. If you wat to overcome it, you can do it, but subscribing to an annual subscription.​
