The adtronic system is brand new, and it’s actually a downloadable store with over 150 apps currently. They plan to have 1,500 apps in the store by the end of 2009, which would be pretty neat. Basically, you get points or credits for each ad that you view, and those points/credits can be redeemed for full applications. It’s a great way for users to get free apps, while developers still get paid for them.

Leading Developers like Indiagames, Joikusoft, DS Effects, Killer Mobile, ZingMagic and Cellictica have already joined this platform to offer their premium applications ad-enabled and free of charge for the users.

Over 150 applications from different categories have already partnered for the start. Liquid Air Lab expects to have around 1.500 free, ad-enabled applications included by summer 2009.

In un mondo fatto sempre più di chiamate VoIP e videoconferenze, la webcam è divenuta ormai praticamente d'obbligo. Ci sono ancora alcuni computer, però, che non ne sono dotati e, visto che poter risparmiare qualcosina soprattutto di questi tempi non fa male, è interessante poter sapere che grazie al proprio smartphone Symbian si può utilizzare SmartCam, un programma gratuito che permette di sfruttare la fotocamera del proprio cellulare come una vera e propria webcam da utilizzare col proprio computer.

Potrebbe sembrare a prima vista una faccenda complicata, ma il tutto è assolutamente user friendly. Infatti, una volta installato il programma sul cellulare va installato il client per computer che rende possibile il riconoscimento dello smartphone come webcam, e il gioco è fatto.
Nessun driver da installare, nessuna configurazione difficile, solamente una brevissima installazione che si occupa di tutto in automatico. SmartCam permette di scegliere il tipo di connessione da utilizzare tra cellulare e pc: TCP/IP via wi-fi o bluetooth. A seconda dei casi può risultare più comoda l'una o l'altra, anche se quella via bluetooth risulta sicuramente più immediata per chi ha un firewall e non ha voglia di configurarlo ad-hoc.

Diverse le risoluzione del video tra le quali scegliere, in funzione della qualità e della fluidità che si vogliono ottenere. I risultati sono molto buoni, e a differenza delle normali webcam c'è da considerare che con il collegamento senza fili permesso da SmartCam si gode anche di una maggior libertà nell'orientare l'obiettivo, e non solo.

Purtroppo non è presente il riconoscimento dell'audio, ma si può sempre risolvere con un microfono da un paio di euro.​
