    Send pictures of any format via SMS. Let it be jpg, gif, bmp or png, send them all as picture messages.

    Steps:​

    1. Create/ Draw a picture of 72 pixel width and 28 pixel height using any picture software such as Adobe photoshop, Microsoft paint etc and save it as gif, jpg, bmp or png.​

    2. Transfer this picture to the phone via USB or bluetooth or Infrared and save it in phone gallery (c:nokiaimages in phone memory or e:images in memory card).​

    3. Open Symot PictureSMS and select this picture and hit forward to send it as SMS picture message.​

    Note: Pictures can be of any size which are multiples of 72x28 ( ie. 71x28, 144x56, 216x84, 288x112 etc) and formats such as gif, jpg, bmp or png. But for best clarity, monochrome pictures of 72x28 pixel size is preferred. Sample pictures are included with this application. In order to delete a picture, just delete it from the gallery.​

    Creating monochrome 72x28 pixel pictures in Adobe Photoshop​

    Open Adobe Photoshop and hit New under File menu. Set the width as 72 pixels, height as 28 pixels and the mode as Bitmap. Zoom In the picture canvas so that it will be easier for you to draw. Draw your picture and save as bmp (windows), png or gif.​

    Creating monochrome 72x28 pixel Pictures in Microsoft Paint​

    Open Start > Programs > accessories > Paint on your computer (Windows Operating System). Hit Image > Attributes and set the image width as 72 pixels and height as 28 pixels. Hit View > Zoom > Large size to Zoom In the picture canvas. Draw your picture and save it as Monochrome Bitmap or gif, jpg, bmp or png.​

    mIRGGI v0.4.8 S60v2 SymbianOS7

    mIRGGI is the first IRC client for S60 3rd Edition devices. It is also available for 2nd edition devices. It is currently in early stages because I just began writing it on 10th of March. I've been meaning to do this for a long time but haven't gotten to it. I don't like the J2ME IRC clients (one big reason is that they suck up a lot of memory on S60) and I don't like using PuTTY, especially on devices without keyboard. Also their fonts are quite ugly (I like small vector fonts, as is obvious from this release

    This is a hobby project and mainly targeted at my needs but I will try to find some relaxing time to enhance it. And especially the things that bother me personally will get fixed fast. There are most certainly some bugs but I have successfully used it for several hours at a time via GPRS without problems.

    mIRGGI has also been seen for a selected few as a terminal IRC client for Linux and Windows. Those versions haven't been updated for a loooong time and were never really released. I might do a version for Windows Mobile someday, too.

    How To Use It?
    First, change the settings (they are automatically displayed when running mIRGGI for the first time). Input nick, username, realname and server. Press back and then connect.

    If you want mIRGGI to connect to channels or open query windows on startup, input them to Auto windows setting. Separate channels and nicks with commas. If you need keys for channels, you can input them too. Example: #channel key,&channel2,nick1,nick2 will open #channel with a key, &channel2 without a key and query windows for nicks nick1 and nick2. These windows are numbered 1-4 and you can use keys 1-4 to quickswitch to them.

    To input text, press enter or OK button. This will bring the cursor to the input line at the bottom of the screen. Press enter or OK to send the line/command. If you don't want to type anything, pressing OK/enter on an empty line disables inputting. If the line starts with / it is considered a command, otherwise the text is sent to the channel or query target.

    When not inputting text, left/right change the windows. Also pressing 0-9 will jump to that window (0 is always the server window, channels and queries start from 1). Up/down will scroll the current window. At the moment, the window scrolls down when new text arrives. I know, this can be annoying sometimes.

    Windows are created when joining to a channel or starting a query. They are not closed if you leave a channel at this time. You can use /cquery command to change the nick in the current query window if the other party changes their nick.

    What Commands Does It Support?
    Commands start with / as usual and the following commands are supported: msg, nick, join, leave, part, query, cquery, mode, me, topic, away, who, whois, whowas. Mode accepts * as the first parameter which means the current channel.

    All other lines starting with / are sent as-is to the server, like /quote command on some clients. So you can also send commands that are not on the list, you just might have to add : characters to certain places.

    mIRGGI also should be CTCP compliant as it provides responses to these required CTCP messages: CLIENTINFO, VERSION, PING. Also CTCP ACTIONs are shown and sent. mIRGGI does not yet implement sending these.

    v0.4.8

    I've just released version 0.4.8. It includes some anti-flicker fixes, it should be a bit faster and the scrolling bug should be a bit less annoying (but it's not really fixed yet). It also has some new languages (translation is still ongoing) and the title bar has been changed to the default. Now you can see what writing mode you have as well as the battery and signal status.

    mIRGGI has been tested on Nokia N93, E70, E61, N73 and E60. It should work on any S60 3rd Edition device. 2nd edition version has been tested on 6260 and N70.

    Main screen
    The main page shows the actually opened mp3 file, and the progress of the playback.
    You can change the volume by pressing the joystick up or down.
    Fast forward and rewind: press the joystick left or right while holding down the ABC (Nokia 7650) / (other Nokia phones) / SHIFT (SX-1) button.
    Press the joystick right to see the list of mp3 files on the phone.

    List of mp3 files
    All files on the phone are listed here. However, the search for mp3 files may take some time, the process is indicated by the rotating circle at the bottom of the screen.
    Select a file to start playing it.

    Settings
    Playlist repeating: repeat the playlist or stop when all files have been already played.
    After a track ends: songs come in a random order after each other, or normally, or the playback stops.
    Bluetooth headset: switch this on and restart the program if you want to use your Bluetooth headset .
    Screen always on: the screen will not go to standby when playing.
    ID3 charset: you can display speacial accented characters in the title/author of mp3 files. For Latin-1, use ISO 8859-1; the list of common character sets are listed in help.

    Importing a skin
    All JPG files on the phone are listed here. However, the search for the files may take some time, the process is indicated by the rotating circle at the bottom of the screen.
    Select a file by pressing the joystick to use it as a skin. It will take some time to import it. Press Back to save the selected skin.
    Only JPG files with the .jpg extension may be used.
