Move folder with icons in the app menu in V.20 firmware
Only for Nokia N95

N95-1 Menu in 20.0.015

Here’s the menu in my N95 after upgrading to V20

Good looking huh?

S60 manages folders pretty bad in my opinion, when you create a new one, you can’t change it’s icon, and when you have a folder inside a folder (like the office folder in V20s firmware), you can’t move it to the main menu, which is bad in my opinion, since I like all my main folders in the main menu, but also like each one to have a special icon…

First pretend the “folder” folder is you office folder, and you want to move it to the main menu, but there’s no “Move to folder” option on the left softkey , you have to start by setting up like the screenshot, the folder you want to move at the last place, and any app you can easily install and remove in the place before, in my case I chose the MovingBall app.

Now go, and uninstall MovingBall thru the app. manager, quickly press menu, go to the apps folder and press options above the MovingBall app:

Now wait, the MovingBall app is being uninstalled, when it finishes uninstalling, its icon will disappear from the menu , leaving the folder hi-lighted, and the “Move to folder” options still available in the options!

And voila! Just move the folder!

And again, we shouldn’t have to use this method for moving folders , S60 should have this option right from the start, even better, they should allow changing folder icons, if BlackBerry OS can do it…

How to Open/Access .NFO & .diz files on PC

I got some PMs from MM Members saying they don't know what NFO and Diz files contains and means, so i to reduce the PMs i decided to upload what you need to download to your PC for you to be able to view NFO & Diz. And you may also open these files using the Notepad too.

**** NFO Viewer Description
**** NFO Viewer is an utility designed for viewing text files containing ASCII Art (e.g. nfo files), and it proved itself to be handy. So, if you're fed up with starting some DOS-like file manager each time you need to view nfo file, or ain't too happy with the viewer you use, or (worst case) use Notepad - give this little tool a try. Here are some key features of "**** NFO Viewer": Available in multiple languages · Chinese Simplified, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish. You can choose the languages during installation and switch between them later via Settings dialog. Hyperlinks / E... Go HERE to read more.

Just extract the .exe file and install it to your PC, here's what's inside NFO & Diz files.

How to install MSDict on 5700 & Other phones

Some members told me that MSDict can't work on 5700 and some other phones, well i got a friend that got 5700 and i tried to install MSDict to it but i couldn't find any dictionaries.
Well, what you have to do is create a folder to where you install MSDict, whether it's Phone or Memeory card & name it Documents then inside Documents create another folder and name it MSDict, then install the dictionaries copy the pdb files to the folder and you will get the dictionaries in MSDict. This also works for other phones that don't have the Document folder in their phones.
Go HERE to install MSDict Viewer 4.10 Cracked-BiNPDA (It's already signed)
Go HERE to download all dictionaries from MobiSystems official website or search for them here in MM.

Sorry, the screenshot was taken from my E61i.

How to sign a .Sis file with Self-Sign Certificate

Theo cách này thì không cần phải có user trên Symbian-Signed nữa rồi

Để thực hiện bước 1, cần phải có file makekey.exe, có để download ở đây:
http://www3.symbian.com/faq.nsf/fde...4666011f9c002572250023f01c/$FILE/makekeys.exe

Use FONTS with USB MASS STORAGE MODE (Without Restarting Phone)
Use this method for installing fonts on N95 8GB & N91 & Others

Here's the guide:

1. You require the following softwares on ur phone before contuning furthur:

Download FontRouter LT for v9 Build20071109 Unsigned HERE and sign it and Dont install it at the moment)

Download LCG X-Plore to your phone.

2. A very important step:
Install FontRouter LT for v9 Build20071109 on your MEMORY CARD and not in your phone memory

3. After installing it, open X-plore and goto C:\data folder and create a New Folder and name it Fonts. Here C:\ points to ur internal memory
Then open the following folder E:\data\fonts. Here E:\ is the path of your memory card.

4. There you will find a file named FontRouter.ini .Move ur pointer over this file and Click "2" on ur keypad or Menu - Edit - Move to move this file to the folder C:\data\fonts . Now ur folder E:\data\fonts will be empty. Delete this folder

5. Now goto the folder C:\data\fonts. There u will find the file u moved before i.e. FontRouter.ini .Click "8" on ur keypad or Menu - File - Edit.

6. A new window will open n x-plore where we shall edit this file. Now u will have to scroll down a bit down where u shall find the following text written:
;Extra font files to be loaded
ExtraFontFile=\Data\Fonts\*.*

Bring ur cursor in front of \Data and add C: before it so that it becomes
;Extra font files to be loaded
ExtraFontFile=
C:\Data\Fonts\*.*

Now click Menu -> Save and exit this window

7. We are almost done now. Just copy ur new font file to the folder C:\data\fonts. Exit X-plore and restart ur phone.

8. If everything is fine, u shall see ur new fonts activated. Try and connect ur usb cable in Data Transfer mode. Volla it works

Note: If ever u want to againg change ur fonts, just edit the file FontRouter.ini again and look for the string
; Enable/Disable main function of FontRouter
; Default=1
Enable=1

Change Enable=1 to enable=0
Enable=0

Restart your mobile. Now just put ur new fonts in c:\data\fonts and remove the old ones. Again edit fontrouter.ini and replace enable=0 with enable=1

Have FUN!! [IMG]

Guide in Installing, Deleting, Re-installing Themes & Installing Themes has Expired on S60v3
Thanks to P@sco (Theme Maker)

Alot of people asked on how to reinstall my themes (or other ones) because they disappeared from apps manager and are not in the memory, but can't be reinstalled. Here is a brief tutorial, hope it'll be helpful (and hope my inbox folder will be less full of messages about this subject )

Just a thing: it's a bug of the OS, not of the themes!!!

That happens because phone has a log file stored somewhere in c:/private (or in another protected folder). if you want to reinstall a theme you need to use unsis and exctract the folder to put into private/10207114/import/

Note: If you can't see the Private folder in the memory card, cl!ck on "Tools" on the PC folder you are currently viewing & cl!ck "Folder Options" then cl!ck "View" Then, under "Hidden Files and Folders" cl!ck "Show hidden files & folders", "Apply" and "OK" You will now see the Private folder in the memory card.

that's the only way i know...

so, let start:

A ) Download Unsis for 3rd Edition
B ) Take the USB cable for connecting phone to PC

1. Install and open unsis

2. choose "Open SIS" on bottom left

3. choose the theme you want to reinstall or install

4. cl!ck on "Extract"

5. Wait a few seconds (some times more ) it'll be "Completed or Extracted!"

8. there should be e a folder called "Temp"

9. Inside you should find "private"-> "10207114"-> "import"-> "some folders (just one ifyou extracted just one theme) with different names (numbers and letters in most of cases)"
