Twisty 0.03 is a Java-based port of the Z-machine interpreter for Android. It has three built-in games and also allows to load external game packages.

Description

Twisty 0.03 is a Java-based port of the Z-machine interpreter for the Android mobile platform. The Z-machine is a virtual machine that was used by Infocom for its text adventure games. Text adventures (also known as "interactive fiction") are kinds of games from old times, where the software simulates environments in which players use text commands to control characters and influence the environment.
The emulator has three built-in games: Adventure, Bronze and Curses. This is quite enough for beginners to get the feeling of such kind of games. For those who want to play more text adventure games, Twisty allows to load external Z-Code executables with the *.z3, *.z5 and *.z8 file extensions.

Blackjack (also known as Twenty-one, Vingt-et-un (French for Twenty-one), or Pontoon) is one of the most popular casino card games in the world. Much of blackjack's popularity is due to the mix of chance with elements of skill, and the publicity that surrounds card counting (keeping track of which cards have been played since the last shuffle).

Android Sudoku by Ed Burnette is an Android port of the classic Sudoku puzzle game. The game consists of 3 Sudoku puzzles, offers three difficulty levels, hints for players and has a nice background music.
As Ed says: "Consider this to be a very early alpha version. The code is rough, undocumented, it only has 3 puzzles, and it doesn't know when you have solved the puzzle. But rather than sit on it until it was perfect I decided to release it as-is. Future updates will address all these things."
It's really rather a test version. Some functions like options to turn on/off background music and tips are not yet working. Anyway, the game is fun and you will surely like it. The developers among us will be interested to get the sources and Ed's notes about programming of this game here.​
