Gumball_3000, a new racing game from Mforma and Blue Beck, had flown more or less under the radar until CTIA, where an Mforma representative gave us a surprise introduction. We can't make heads or tails of Gumball 3000's title, but our brief playtime revealed some very promising driving action that should eventually speak for itself.

In Gumball_3000, you participate in a series of city-to-city races all over the United States. The introductory screen featured a US map with a bunch of legs on it, from which we selected the Las Vegas-to-Tucson option. From there, the game moved to a standard third-person racing perspective. Basically, you try to leave your opponents in the dust while collecting strange, gumball-shaped items to boost your score. In addition, we noticed that your car suffers damage from collisions and, if pummeled enough, will eventually explode. A particularly draconian police officer beat us into submission during our test-play, causing our car to blow up (and also causing valuable time to run off the clock).

Shtirlitz, a Soviet spy, was a secret service man, the best ever. He could collect folders with secrets hanging in the air, shoot with both hands, and also shoot from bazooka and flame-thrower. Besides that, Shtirlitz adored to spoil Umput’s life and the last few years of his life he dedicated exactly to this task, having pretty well cut the ranks of the Great Dictator.

Umput was a dictator, and as it is expected from people of his profession all of his free time he was nourishing treacherous plans of usurpation of the world. Sometimes the dictator got tired of thinking and tried to put his ideas in reality. His first attempt known as the Second World War was a complete failure, but the dictator did not give up his hopes for he knew that some day he would achieve his aim.

The merriest “walker” for mobiles will let you get absorbed into the struggle with the treacherous dictator. Stop the madman and his soldiers. Help Shtirlitz to collect all secrets and confidential papers.
