Und sie überrascht durch ein erstaunlich komplexes Spielprinzip – ganz im Stil des Kult-Klassikers ''Panzer General“.











Der Name ''Panzer Tactics“ deutet es bereits an: Es handelt sich um ein Strategiespiel, welches im 2. Weltkrieg angesiedelt ist. Die Hintergrundstory fällt somit eher genretypisch simpel aus. Ohnehin gilt es vielmehr, sich auf zahlreichen Schlachtfeldern auszutoben. Die umfangreiche Kampagne von „Panzer Tactics“ bietet die Möglichkeit, sich für eine Seite zu entscheiden. Zur Wahl stehen die Westalliierten, die Sowjetarmee und die Deutsche Wehrmacht. Jede Partei kämpft sich durch zehn Missionen, d. h. insgesamt warten über 30 Herausforderungen auf Sie. Beachten müssen Sie natürlich bestimmte Bedingungen, die für das erfolgreiche Beenden einer Mission erfüllt werden sollen. Diese werden Ihnen in Form attraktiver Texttafeln näher gebracht, ebenso erhalten Sie vor dem Start eines Levels umfangreiche Hintergrundinformationen, die sich offensichtlich an geschichtlich korrekten Fakten orientieren. Wer das Strategie-Urgestein „Panzer General“ kennt, wird sich auch bei „Panzer Tactics“ recht schnell heimisch fühlen.
