How to start:​

To start working with the application you must choose one of the available modes:​

* Follow rules - processes only the messages matching the defined rules;


* Handle all - processes all the messages;


* Not in contacts - processes only the messages the sender's address of which is not found in the phone's Contacts;​

"Handle all" and "Not in contacts" are simple modes, it is recommended to use the "Follow rules" mode and to define the necessary rules for more flexible work with the application.
Rules:​

You can define the following types of rules in the Rules dialog:​

* Default - the rule that applies when no other rules are matched;


* Private number - this rule will apply to undetected numbers;


* Not in contacts - allows processing the messages, the sender's address of which is not found in the phone's Contacts;


* Contact - a rule for processing correspondence with a chosen contact;


* Group - same as Contact but for a certain group of contacts;


* Phone number - a rule for processing correspondence with a defined phone number;​

Each rule can be turned on or off. The rules have additional settings for processing of incoming calls: reject call and send an SMS message after rejecting it.​

Messages:​

​

In this view you can read incoming and sent messages as well as make calls and send messages directly from within the application. The "Store..." command allows exporting messages into a text or CSV file. If, for some reason, you need to return a message to the system "Messages" application, you can use the "Restore message" command, which also deletes the messages from BPC. It is important to understand that the restored message, upon being written to the system "Messages", will be processed by BPC again, if any relevant rules are active, and thus will be returned back to BPC. To avoid this situation, turn off the corresponding rule or select a different mode.​

Log:​

This view shows the actions undertaken while processing messages and calls. You can set the period for this log to be Autocleaned in Settings.​

Settings: ​

This dialog allows defining the following options:​

​

* Ask for password - if this is set to on, the password will be checked at each application start and bringing it forward from "hidden" state;


* Password - if you lose or forget your password, all application's data (messages, log) will be lost without possibility to restore them;


* Show icon - will show an icon in standby mode (Phone application) if there is a new unread message;


* New message notification - will show the defined notification if there is a new message;


* Notification text - it can be any text that you alone will understand, for example "Synchronisation complete", "System error", "Happy birthday!" and such;


* Clean phone log - allows deleting records about calls and messages from system log;


* Autoclean BPC log - allows defining the number of days after which old records in application's log will be deleted;


* Autohide - allows automatically hiding the application after the defined period of time;​

ALON Contact Guide PRO for S60 3rd Edition is a professional contact manager with call manager included. The application offers full set of actions with contacts: dialing, sending SMS, MMS or e-mail, opening web-browser, quick contacts search, adding and editing contacts, categories support, customization of contacts list and many others.
Call manager allows to manage incoming phone calls and assign different actions such as "Send busy", "Mute", "Reply by SMS", "Answer immediately", "Autoresponder", "None" to call groups and to contacts.

Car Pack is a software tool designed to be used in your car when you are driving. It has specially settings which allows you an easy use of the phone while you have to keep your attention on the road when you drive the car.

For example, when you get up in your car and plug-in the car charger, the Car Pack service can be automatically enabled. If you receive an incoming call, the service will automatically answer the call and will activate the loudspeaker so that you just simply talk without to touch the phone.

The Car Pack service comes also with extensive settings like Backlight always active - for the best screen visibility, Anykey-answer/reject, Mute ringing tone and more.

* Key features.

- Auto-answer will automatically answer an incoming call after a specified period. You have just to keep driving and the phone will auto-answer. You can also answer the call as normally/by hand.
- Counter-down. A big digital counter-down is shown on screen in the auto-answer mode showing the seconds left until the call will be automatically auto-answered.
- Auto-reject will automatically reject an incoming call after a specified period. A big digital counter-down is shown also during the incoming call.
- Auto-reject with SMS will automatically reject an incoming call and will send a SMS text to the remote caller.
- auto Activate Loudspeaker. If enabled, after the call is answered (normally by hand or automatically) the call voice Loudspeaker is automatically activated so you can hear the remote caller in the car''s cockpit without to touch the phone. You have just to keep driving and you can talk with your remote party. (similar like a car-kit device).
- Backlight always active. If set on Yes, the backlight of the screen will be always active/on for the best visibility in the car. The screen lights will never go off as long as the service is started. The keypad is also keept unlocked for easy use of the phone.
- Mute ringing tone. If you receive an incoming call, the ringtone will be muted if you do not want to be disturbed by its sound while driving.
- Ankey-answer and Anykey-reject. You can answer or reject an incoming call by simply pressing any key on the keypad. (not only the RED or GREEN keys).
- Mute microphone. This setting can mute the microphone if a call is auto-answered. It is usefull if a call is auto-answered but you did not see this, so the remote caller can not hear you; but you can hear him.
- Charger control. The Car Pack service can be automatically enabled when you get up in the car and plug-in the phone compatible car charger.
- Show icon. An icon indicator will be shown in the top of the screen indicating the Car Pack service is enabled.

Notes:
- When the Car Pack service is enabled you can use the phone as normally. It does not disturb your actions but will react as per your settings.
- The Car Pack service will not block the Handsfree bluetooth device if you use one. You can answer and talk normally from your Handsfree device.
- to use the Car Pack you only need to enable it when you get up in the car. You can do this either using the charger plug-in or enabling the service from the main menu.
- the Car Pack can coexist with a car-kit device if you use one. It can even totally replace the functionality of an expensive car kit.
