    System time inaccurate still trouble you?

    Network operators time? No effect!

    FreeTimeSync is a S60 3rd's time synchronization application, it is based on the NTP (Network Time Protocol), which provides high-precision time correction (on LAN less than 1 ms, on Internet dozens of milliseconds), and only causes little network flow. FreeTimeSync also supports GPS time sync and SMS time sync.

    FreeTimeSync supports following phones:
    3250、5700、6110N、6120C、6121C、6220C、6290、E50、E51、E60 、E61(i)、E62、E65、E70、E71、N73、N75、N76、N77、N78、N80、N8 1、N82、N91、N93(i)、N95、N96

    FreeTimeSync needs to sign before installion. You can sign it with your dev cert. If you don't know about cert and sign, please visit www.symbiansigned.com and follow the instructions to get FreeTimeSync Open signed.

    Some friends remind me that FreeTimeSync is not the first time sync app on S60 3RD, so I modified the title. Maybe not the first, but I'll make it the best!

    This release is beta version.

    What's new:
    1. Add: Autosync on phone boot
    2. Add: Default AccessPoint setting
    3. Add: Config file, you can now save your server IP
    4. Add: GPS time sync
    GPS time sync function requires your GPS connected. Or it will report sync error.
    5. Add: SMS time sync, and you can customlize your sms number and content
    SMS time sync function will send a sms to the number and start watching, it will set the first sms time as your system time. The default sms number is "10086" and the content is "ye", which is the auto send back number of China Mobile. You may modify it as your will.

    Attention: Because the NTP does not support the WAP gateway, time synchronization function can only based on Internet, which means you can only use it with Internet or WIFI access points.    ​

    Beeper for S60What does it do? It is really hard to say what the Beeper is because it is the multifunctional application with lot of handy and highly customizable features.

    The application itself is similar to Timebar but it has more useful features and completely configurable window which allow you to select where and which information you want to display. Application of course stays resident in memory and continues to update the display in real time.

    However, what is most interesting about this application is that everything is under control, bar is completely customizable, fonts, colors, items, everything. You can change the Bar size, Bar position and Bar color. It is the same with the text and application allows you to change the Text style, Text color and of course Text position. Furthermore it supports the bunch of items to choose from, you can choose between the Time, Date, Ram, Signal and battery.

    Basically it is capable to show the any system information anywhere on your display and not only on the standby screen, clock, or date, or ram will be displayed on the top of all layers so no matter what you are currently working and which application is active you’ll always be able to check the necessary information with the zero effort.

    Beside the Bar functionality it is also capable to play a sound file of your choice for the every hour or to use one sound as the alert for all 24 hours. If you want the same tone for all hours than it will be enough to select a single sound but if you want to have your own custom Big Ben chimes you’ll have to select a folder that contains 24 sound files named as 00.mp3 …. . . .24.mp3 where the 00-23 are sounds for hours, while the file 24 is for battery.

    Of course notification volume is also adjustable but keep in mind that notifications will not work if your phone is in silent mode. There is an also option to set this hour notification to be activate only from 6 through 23 for example and give you a chance to sleep on the night without interruption by sound notifications.

    That’s not all of course, there is many additional features make this small application much more practical all in one solution. For instance, you can track the battery charging and choose the sound that will warn you once when the battery is full.

    There is also a handy Program starter and you can choose which allows you to choose one application that will be started automatically for certain time. Further more there is an option Restart the phone, Export SMS messages to the txt file and quite surprising call recording feature with customizable pat and format.

    The last but not the least there is an embed simplified version of the his WakeUpMe soft which basically means that it has fully customizable WakeUp assistant that lets you WakeUp with any of your favorite songs, albums or radio stations.

    The best of all, applications is completely free and you’ll get all these useful features free of charge and therefore you should give it a try. If nothing else, once you start using Beeper you'll know exactly what time it is, clock, calendar or any other item can stay always on top and inform you about the time or system status.

    To get it to work you have to install latest Python version. It is also high suggestible to install application and Python in the phone's memory (C: drive). There is no need to sign Beeper but if you sign it Beeper will autostart with phone.

    Kaspersky Mobile Security is a convenient and reliable solution that protects smartphones from Internet attacks, malicious programs that target mobile platforms and SMS spam. It also provides protection for confidential data stored on a smartphone should the device be lost or stolen.


    Functions

    Anti-theft protection:

    Protection of personal data for a lost or stolen smartphone. To protect personal data stored on a smartphone if it is lost, a user can block his/her smartphone or delete files, messages, and the list of contacts remotely. The user can also find out who the “new owner” of the lost device is.

    - SMS-Block. In the event of the loss of a smartphone, a user can send a “hidden SMS message” to it, which blocks access to the smartphone until a pre-set password is entered.

    - SMS-Clean. This function is similar to the SMS-Block feature, but, rather than blocking the smartphone, it cleans the device’s memory and memory cards.

    - SIM Watch. The SMS-Block and SMS-Clean functions are only available if a smartphone is enabled and the original SIM card is installed. If a smartphone is stolen, the “new owner” will most likely immediately replace the original SIM card. The SMS Watch function will prevent the “new owner” from accessing any personal data without the initial SIM card inserted in the device. If the initial SIM card is replaced with a new one, the SMS Watch function will send the original user the new telephone number of the device without the “new owner’s” knowledge.

    Antivirus protection:

    All incoming or modified SMS, MMS and email items are automatically scanned for malicious programs.

    On-demand scanning of the mobile device is available at any time. The user can pre-set the best time for antivirus scanning and it will be performed automatically. If an infected object is detected, it is stored in the quarantine folder or deleted.

    Firewall

    The user can select one of the integrated IP firewall protection levels. Depending on the level selected, one or more connections will be restricted to provide user security.

    Anti-spam for SMS/EMS/MMS.

    Telephone numbers of known spam sources, any incorrect numbers (for example, text numbers) or unwanted words or phrases can be added to a blacklist to ensure that such messages are always blocked. You can also add the addresses from your contact list to a white list. In the Symbian version, MMS messages are also filtered.

    Automatic updates.

    Antivirus databases are updated automatically at intervals set by the user. Updates are available via

    WAP/HTTP (GPRS, EDGE, WiFi, etc.) or via a PC during synchronization.

    The World Fact Book 2008 is a complete listing of all the world's countries. Includes flags and maps, geographical, demographical, political, economic, military (etc.) data.

    What's New?

    - Country information has been updated as of 17 January 2008.
    - In the Geography category, two new fields focus on the increasingly vital resource of water: “Total renewable water resources” and “Freshwater withdrawal.”
    - In the Economy category, three fields have been added that focus on capital stocks and investment. They are "Stock of direct foreign investment - at home," "Stock of direct foreign investment - abroad," and "Market value of publicly traded shares."
    - In the Notes and Definitions, c oncise descriptions have been added of the major religions mentioned in the Factbook .
    - Several notable geographic changes have occurred. The US Board on Geographic Names (BGN) now recognizes Timor-Leste as the short form name for East Timor ; its description may be found under this new designation. France 's overseas possessions have been reorganized. The five former entities of Bassas da India, Europa Island , Glorioso Islands , Juan de Nova Island, and Tromelin Island , previously grouped as Iles Eparses ( Scattered Islands ), now constitute a district of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands . Additionally, the islands of St. Barthelemy and St. Martin, formerly a part of the French overseas region of Guadeloupe , now make up separate overseas collectivities and have their own Factbook entries.
    - Revision of some individual country maps, first introduced in the 2001 edition, is continued in this edition. Several regional maps have also been updated to reflect boundary changes and place name spelling changes.

    How to install ?

    The world factbook 2008 comes in html format, and than i convert it into .pdb format.
    Why ".pdb" format? because this format is fast than PDF format and Java aplications, it can be used in different devises including Symbian supported devices, it can be read by iSilo software.

    For Symbian S60 3rd edition:
    1- Install iSilo software, you can find the last version vr.5.01
    2- Unrar "CIA_World_Fact_Book_2008-packed-by Nabilove-iSilo.rar" and transfer to your phone memory, put it in "E:/Documents/isilo" directory
    3- Open iSilo software and than chose "CIA_World_Fact_Book_2008" open it and then click on
    Menu(*)-> Edit->Options->Layout->Disable table layout->Ok (*)not the phone menu
    4- For best view u can use iSilo vr.4.36 (tested on E65 and N82)
    5- Enjoy it !!!
