[/FONT]My Assistant offers you a set of automated services which extend your phone capabilities and provides quick access when you need them. The available services are: voice calls recording, auto keypad locker, voice notes recording (Dictaphone) and daily clock alarm. My Assistant has an autostart option and it is able to run in background to keep the services active without your intervention. Also, you can use hotkeys to quickly start recording or to activate the application when you wish this.
Auto KeyLock service: After specified time, the service will automatically lock the keypad of the phone. This helps you to protect the phone against accidentally keys pressing which could initiate phone calls or network access. You can unlock the keypad as normally.

Clock Alarm service: Currently, many S60 phones have the built-in clock which requires you to set the alarm hour every time you need this (e.g. for the wake-up hour, and you can forget this). This service allows you to set an alarm for a specified hour. If the service is enabled, the alarm will ring every day at the hour you set without your intervention. You do not have to set it again. You can consider this service as a second clock alarm in addition to the built-in clock.

Recorder service: Voice calls recording and voice notes recording (Dictaphone mode). If you wish to record your call conversations you can set this service to automatically start recording or to ask you if to record the conversation before you make or answer a call. If you are not in a voice call, you can also start the voice recording service to record your voice notes (using the application as a Dictaphone) or to take an interview for example.

TaskMan helps you to control applications better, make calls faster and send your messages more easily. This application includes features of an advanced task manager, which will substitute for the standart one. TaskMan lets you create and configure Favourites views which consist of speed dials, speed contacts, speed sms/mms/email, start an application... Moreover, TaskMan lets you create a hot key for any action. But that's not all. By means of TaskMan you can add any number of programs to the cycle of applications switched via "Menu" button (Phone Application - Menu). E.g, you can add Messaging.

How to start:

The main function of TaskMan is an advanced task manager that appears when you hold "Menu" key. To make TaskMan work you should first activate it.
All functions in TaskMan work only when the application is active.
TaskMan has a light and handy settings system that you will usually find in all standart Series 60 devices. Settings are divided into the following groups: General (Advanced Task manager, Application info and Favourites settings), Actions, Look and feel settings, Cycled applications.
Note: if TaskMan is activated then even if you close it, it will continue working. It also starts automatically when you turn on your phone.

Task Manager, Favourites and AppInfo:

The main function of TaskMan is an improved Task Manager. You will see Task Manager view when you hold Menu button. In addition to Task Manager you can also configure additional Favourites views. You can open a Favourite view either directly from Task Manager, or with the help of an assigned hot key. Besides standart operations for applications switching Task Manager possesses the following functions:

Close all applications;
Go to - switch to favourites;
Next/Prev view (Hot key: pen+Left/Right) - switches between TaskMan and Favourites;
Compress memory;
Close/Kill application;
Grid/list view of TaskMan;
App info - detailed application information;
Restart phone;
App info function can be launched not only from Task Manager view, but also via a previously assigned hot key.

General settings:

In this view you can:

Configure TaskMan interface.
Set a hot key for AppInfo function.

Work with Favourites views. You can set different actions for every view, e.g: speed dial, speed contacts, speed sms/mms/email, start application, create note, create todo, create voice note, create contact. You can also set a hot key for Favourites and configure its inteface.

Actions:

TaskMan lets you assign an unlimited number of actions with hot keys.

Look and feel:

General settings for Task Manager, Favourites and App Info views can be configured in this view, i.e: indicators for battery, memory, free, used and critical space on the disc.

[/FONT] There are two views in the program: Answering machine & Message player. You can switch between them with left and right joystick keys.

Answering machine view:

Here you can see answering machine status: turned off, waiting for a call, incoming call, playing greeting message, or recording message.

In this view you can also see brief statistics for your messages, the number of unheard messages and an approximate number of messages that can be recorded (calculated as a ratio of free disk space to max. message size)

You can turn on and turn off the answering machine here. When the answering machine is turned on, you can see a small indicator in the right topmost corner of the screen, which is always-on-top. This indicator will be also visible in all applications when Answering Machine is minimized.

[/FONT] Message player view:

This view shows the list of messages. All unheard messages are shown in Bold font. Messages without message file are shown in red (e.g. if message file itself was removed with a file explorer outside of Answering Machine).

In this view you can play a message and immediately call the person who has left the message. When the message is being played you may change its volume with joystick (left/right).

Note: for storing messages we use AMR sound format. This format is highly compressed and best suits answering machine needs especially taking into consideration the fact that the smartphone is limited in disk space.

You can get detailed message information here by selecting message properties. Here you can see message status (heard, unheard), call date/time, message duration left, total call duration, name of the caller (if his/her name was found in your contacts), phone number (if detected), and file name where the message is stored.

There are some more commands in advanced menu: Refresh (refreshes the list of messages), delete message, delete all messages and pack messages. When packing all messages, the messages without corresponding message files are deleted (they're shown in red).

Settings:

Answering Machine offers a wide set of options which make this application a universal tool for call recording.

The following options can be set up:

Specify responses - this option represents a set of rules defining which greeting message will be played to which calls.

You can set the following rules in this dialog:
Default - this rule will be put into action if none of the active rules is used;
Contact - you can set a separate rule for a specific contact;
Group - a rule for a group of contacts;
Phone - a rule for a phone number. You can use a mask for phone numbers. A match pattern can contain wildcard characters "*" and "?", where "*" matches zero or more consecutive occurrences of any character and "?" matches a single occurrence of any character.
Example:
'*77' - all numbers ending at 77;
'877*' - all numbers beginning with 877;
'12?34' - all numbers like 12034, 12134 ... 12934;
Disk for recording incoming messages
Pick up after - defines time (mm:ss) when the answering machine has to pick up the call
Max duration - defines maximum time of the incoming message. After this time answering machine hangs up automatically
Show indicator
Autostart
Play volume (high/low)

During a phone call:

If the answering machine is answering an incoming call, a menu appears with following commands:

Manual answer - if you choose this command, call recording or greeting message playing is stopped and you can talk with the caller
Hang up - this command stops recording/playing and ends the call.

It is simple to use and does not require many internal resources of your phone in order to be able to work.



These services have the main functionalities as described below:

* Auto KeyLock service

If you are not in a voice call, you can also start the voice recording service to record your voice notes (using the application as a Dictaphone) or to take an interview for example. This can be done easily by pressing for a short time a hotkey which will start recording. The recording process is done using internal capabilities. While the recording is in progress a red blinking icon is shown in the upper-right corner of the display and you can continue to use the phone as normally. You can record up to 300 minutes (6 hours). You can also use the built-in recorder to play the recorded files.
