    Ola Melen Sms Diary V1.5 S60v2 SymbianOS

    The SMS diary application reads all your SMS messages in your phone (but do not delete them, of course) and creates a diary out of them. The diary that will be created consists of two web pages; one page with a table of contents and statistics (statistics on how many messages you have sent etc) and the other page contains all your messages, formatted in a nice way. The web pages are saved on the internal memory of your phone. After the diary has been created you can transfer the web-pages to your pc and store them for future use.

    11 January 2007 : Releases the seventh preview version of PyS60 1.3.17. (PyS60 1.3.16 was an internal release ...)

    New features :

    * Doc for gles and glcanvas modules for OpenGL ES have been added
    * New functions start_finder() and stop_finder() for starting and ending the camera viewfinder
    * appuifw.layout function returning as a tuple the size and the position of the requested layout id like EBatteryPane ( available from S60 2ndEd FP3 onwards (inclusive) )
    * activity functions like reset_inactivity from miso module and inactivity from Misty library have been included in official PyS60 !
    * Method mms send in the messaging module has been added.
    * Methods for access_point selection in 3rd Edition has been added to extension module

    Python for S60 brings the power and productivity of the Python programming language to the S60 platform. The tools enable rapid application development and prototyping, and the ability to create stand-alone S60 applications written in Python.

    The device installation package includes the Python interpreter (based on Python 2.2.2), select Python Standard Libraries, a script shell for launching Python scripts, a variety of native extensions, and a Python Console for interactive development. Python for S60 can also be added to S60 SDK's for PC-based development, testing, and creating application installers.

    Send pictures of any format via SMS. Let it be jpg, gif, bmp or png, send them all as picture messages.​

    Steps:

    1. Create/ Draw a picture of 72 pixel width and 28 pixel height using any picture software such as Adobe photoshop, Microsoft paint etc and save it as gif, jpg, bmp or png.

    2. Transfer this picture to the phone via USB or bluetooth or Infrared and save it in phone gallery (c:\nokia\images in phone memory or e:\images in memory card).

    3. Open Symot PictureSMS and select this picture and hit forward to send it as SMS picture message.

    Note: Pictures can be of any size which are multiples of 72x28 ( ie. 71x28, 144x56, 216x84, 288x112 etc) and formats such as gif, jpg, bmp or png. But for best clarity, monochrome pictures of 72x28 pixel size is preferred. Sample pictures are included with this application. In order to delete a picture, just delete it from the gallery.

    Creating monochrome 72x28 pixel pictures in Adobe Photoshop

    Open Adobe Photoshop and hit New under File menu. Set the width as 72 pixels, height as 28 pixels and the mode as Bitmap. Zoom In the picture canvas so that it will be easier for you to draw. Draw your picture and save as bmp (windows), png or gif.

    Creating monochrome 72x28 pixel Pictures in Microsoft Paint

    Open Start > Programs > accessories > Paint on your computer (Windows Operating System). Hit Image > Attributes and set the image width as 72 pixels and height as 28 pixels. Hit View > Zoom > Large size to Zoom In the picture canvas. Draw your picture and save it as Monochrome Bitmap or gif, jpg, bmp or png.
