Nokia Sport Tracker v1.49 S60v3




Nokia Sports Tracker is a GPS based activity tracker that runs on S60 smartphones. Information such as speed, distance and time are automatically stored to your training diary. To be able to use application for real, you need Nokia S60 3.0 phone with Bluetooth GPS device or Nokia S60 3.0 phone with integrated GPS.

Which Bluetooth GPS devices are supported?

The application has been tested with Nokia LD-3W Bluetooth GPS module, but any Bluetooth enabled GPS module known to work with your phone should work. Most of the GPS modules have been designed primarily for car navigation use, therefore their performance in low speed (e.g. walking) may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

How do I install the application?

There are two options:

- a ) use phone browser to access this page and click installation link at the bottom of the page or

- b ) download the installation package to your computer and perform the installation using PC Suite My track plot has odd jumps and/or the measured distance seems to be too big.

Some GPS receiver are more susceptible to positioning signal strength variations than others. Poor visibility to satellites may cause the calculated position to wonder around, increasing the apparent traveled distance. The situation can be especially challenging in urban canyons (tall buildings blocking the satellite view). User should position the GPS device so that it has clear view to the sky.
What phone models are compatible with the application?

Nokia N71, N73, N75, N76, N80, N80ie, N91, N92, N93, N93i, E50, E60, E61, E62, E65, E70, 3250, 5500 Sport, 6290; S60 3.0

Nokia N95, E61i, E90, 6110 Navigator; S60 3.1

Change log :

1) Added support for GPX and CSV data export formats. Exported files can be sent out using Bluetooth/MMS/email.
2) Added bearing information to exported KML and GPX files to suppot some special use cases. New data files (v1.49 onwards) include a bit more data to fix problems in GPX export in case of momentarily lost satellite fix.
3) Added altitude offset feature (settings->general->altitude offset). [Displayed altitude]=[GPS altitude]+[altitude offset]. Altitude offset is stored to workout files and can be later changed from workoout properties.
4) Added some options to GPS filtering: off/high/medium/low. "High" is the tightest and "Low" the loosest option.
5) Fixed and tidied up some small details
6) Made preparations for possible upcoming features...

Mail for Exchange is Nokia's licensed version of Activesync, that allows Symbian OS devices to communicate with an Exchange Server wirelessly.

Mail for Exchange is the email solution available for Nokia mobile devices that utilises a serverless connector option to Exchange 2003. It is a device feature integrated to the native Email inbox.

Mail for Exchange is enabled by the ActiveSync protocol which is a Microsoft proprietary technology that enables synchronization of email, calendar and contacts between Microsoft Exchange servers and mobile devices.

Upgrade From Previous Versions of Software

Users with a 1.2.x version of Mail for Exchange: If any previous version of the Mail for Exchange client is installed on the phone it must be uninstalled and the phone must be restarted (power off then power on). The user will have to re-create and save their profile.

Users with a 1.3.0 version or later of Mail for Exchange: If the device has the 1.3.0 version or later of the Mail for Exchange client the user can simply upgrade that copy by installing the 1.3.1 version over it. Profile is preserved and useable after upgrade.

* Support for synchronizing Japanese Yomi and VoIP contact fields.
* OMA DM can set “Always-On” even when password is missing from DM settings. User
can add password manually, or at first manual sync attempt user will be prompted for
password. Password will be saved.

ERROR CORRECTIONS

* Ensure that user’s Exchange calendar is not wiped if the device calendar is deleted on
the device.
* Support Manual Syncs using v2.0 of the Activesync protocol if server sends an
incomplete OPTIONS response.
* Fix empty subject field error for forwarded messages with attachment.
* Fix to correctly display non-English message header entries.
* Fix for synced contacts that would not work with speed dial.
* Display error note when attempting to fetch an attachment and the original email
message has been deleted.
* Disable default email notifier when Mail for Exchange is not enabled.
* Make credentials error message specific to password after initial successful sync with
server.
* Display priority of an email in Message Info view.
* When saving attachment files, always prompt folder selection to allow users to select the
folder where the file will be saved.
* Fix for speed dial associations getting lost when synchronizing

Raise S60v3 Application of FP1 (N95) compatibility : increase the font top-Smart corrected, all characters will be highly structured like. Please change the configuration file, set up a FixCharMetrics = open this function.
Symbian 6 and improve compatibility : ForceAntiAliased installed in the Symbian 6 will be overlooked. (6 because Symbian does not support anti-aliasing effects)
UIQ2 to increase compatibility : The default configuration file to support the special screen keyboard characters display correctly.
S60v1/v2 amendment compatibility : the default configuration files, request font size will now automatically correct identification.

Increase the GDR font support. (Available through the configuration option "NativeFont = 0" Close)
