SymbianOn Private Call and Sms Guard v.3.21 For S60 3rd

It has the following functions:​

1 Phone call management​

* a. Reject all incoming calls. In this mode, all of the incoming call will be automatically rejected. It can be used in the time when a user does not want to be disturbed (for example, when a user is driving a car or having a meeting)
* b. Accept only recognized call. In this mode, all of the unknown calls will be rejected; those recognized calls (names are already stored in the phonebook/contacts) will be not affected.
* c. Reject calls from blacklist.In this mode, all of the calls from the predefined blacklist will be automatically rejected, whereas the rest of the calls will not have any effect. An end user can make use of "Manage Lists" function to create the needed blacklist. This can be used in the situation when a user does not want to be harassed from some people.
* d. Accept call from whitelist. In contrast to the previous one, in this mode, mobile only accept calls from the predefined whitelist. All of the other calls from non-whitelist will be automatically rejected. An end user may use "Manage Lists" function to create the needed whitelist.
* e. Personalized call rejection. In this mode，an end user may define personalized call rejections for each of the members in the "Specific List". A user may select "Reject call", "Reply by SMS" or "Greeting" options to reject calls. A user may use "Manage Lists" to create his/her "Specific list". ​

2 SMS management​

* a. "PCG" can help to manage the SMS messages in the mobile phone to make the needed messages visible or invisible in the "Inbox/Sent" of the Nokia "Messaging" application. In this case, a user can hide the sensitive information even your phone is lost, or the user does not want to share the information with others.
* b. An end user may create his/her "Baby list" using "PCG". Once the "Baby list" has been set up, in the next start-up of "PCG", it will automatically scan all of the existing short messages. If a message is to from the "Baby list", then messages will be automatically hidden. In addition, it can also automatically hide the short messages from "Baby list" if it is running. This will eventually protect the user's privacy since others cannot view the SMS without supplying a correct password. A user can set his/her password in "Active mode". When an SMS from "Baby list" comes in the mobile phone icon on the top-left corner of the screen will keep blinking until the user has entered the "Manage SMS" / "Call Records" area using "PCG".​

3 Phone call log management​

* All of the phone call records from "Baby list" will be automatically hidden. A user can ONLY view the phone call record by inputting a correct password.
* When a call from one of the member in the "Baby list" comes in, if it is not answered, then a small "mobile phone icon" will keep blinking until the user enters either "Manage SMS" or "Call Records" area with a correct password provided.​

4 Phone call recording
&nbspWhenever a call has been establish (in whichever user interface), if a user wants to record the caller's voice (for example, please tell me your phone number or your home address, then I can record it down), the user just simply needs to simultaneously press "ABC" key(on which has a pen icon) and "+" key, "PCG"will automatically invoke the "Recorder" application in S60 to record the telephony voice. As such, t the caller's voice and the user's voice will be recorded simultaneously. A user may the functions from the recorder to "Stop", "Pause" or "Continue" to record the voice. Note：For those S60 phones, which has the "QWERTY" keyboard layout，a user needs to use "CTRL+A" key combination to activate the telephony voice call recording. Currently, Nokia S60 E61 has the keyboard layout.​

5 Automatic call rejection
&nbspWhen this function is used, all of the incoming calls will be automatically rejected. If the caller uses a mobile phone to make the call,then the caller may receive a customized SMS message. This is especially useful when a user does not want to be disturbed; however,he/she still wants the caller to get some information about the callee. A user may choose an SMS template like "I am driving call"or "I am having a meeting now, please do not disturb me"as a reply.​

6 Automatic removal of the SMS message from the blacklist
&nbspA user may define his/her own "SMS Blacklist". In this case, all of the SMS from the blacklist will be automatically removed when the SMS message come in. This function is very useful when a user does not want to receive those harass SMS messages or advertisement SMS messages.​

7 Keyboard autolock
&nbspA user may define a time interval for "Autolock time interval"。When keyboard is not used within the time, then "Call Manager" will help to lock the keyboard automatically.​

8 Quick key lock function
&nbspExcept the time when a call is established, no matter whichever user interface a user is currently in, the user may simultaneously press "ABC" key(on which there is a pen)and "+" key to activate the quick key lock function. The benefit of this function is that a user does not to switch to the "Idle screen" in order the lock the keyboard. Another benefit of this function is that it can help us to quickly lock whichever screen. Note：1) For some of the S60 phones, when this quick key lock function is activated, after key lock is deactivated in the active idle screen, a user may not see the left/right soft keys in the screen. If this happens, a user may press any of the numeric keys in the phone to recover this situation, or a user may choose to use the S60 standard way ("left soft key" + "+" key) to activate the key lock function since this ONLY happens in the active idle screen 2) For those S60 phones, which have the "QWERTY" keyboard layout, a user must use "CTRL+A" key combination to activate the telephony voice recording。Currently, Nokia E60 uses the keyboard.​

9 File security
&nbspA user may use the left and right soft key to browse the directories in the phone, and the user may choose the files to encrypt or decrypt.​

10 Auto start enable
By default, this application is auto-started.​

11 It can hide itself in the task manager and don't let the others know​

Description

Phone Shortcuts is a software tool which allows you to start the applications faster using shortcuts, hotkeys and the start at boot (autoboot) feature. The main screen of the application shows you a grid of shortcuts you can define. For each shortcut you can associate an application and edit its settings in order to start it faster. The application defined for a shortcut can simply (and faster) be started by pressing the associated key (hotkey). You have just to keep the hotkey pressed for its timeout (long press) and the application will be started no matter what the phone shows. Due to the background service the hotkeys will be active anytime even the Phone Shortcuts is not running. If you do not wish to use hotkeys you can still start the applications faster by (long) pressing the key ''C'' (clear). This will automatically start the Phone Shortcuts tool allowing you to select a shortcut from its main menu grid. In the main menu grid, just simply press the associated key of the shortcut and the application will be started also. * Key features: - the shortcut hotkey for an application can be enabled/disabled. - the hotkey timeout (long key press) can be changed from 1 to 10 seconds. - hotkey can ignore the keylock. If you long press the hotkey, the application will be started even the keypad is locked. This option can be disabled too. - start at boot option available (autostart). If this setting is enabled, then the application will be started when the phone is powered on (boot time). A number of max. 5 applications are allowed to autostart at the boot time (power on). - the master hotkey ''C'' (clear) allows to directly start the Phone Shortcuts tool and select the shortcut. This can be disabled also. - the master hotkey ''C'' can also ignore the keypad lock if enabled. - the Phone Shortcuts tool can also be set to start at the boot time (autoboot). - the hotkeys do not affect the normal usage of the phone. You can use the keys and write text as usually. - allows 12 shortcuts in the main menu grid. The shortcuts are mapped with the phone''s numeric keys 1-9,0,# and * (hotkeys). You can also start applications faster as follows: - use the Phone Shortcuts tool and define shortcuts. Assign the Phone Shortcuts tool to the left soft key in the main screen (Tools->Settings->Phone->General->Standby mode->Left selection key-> assign Phone Shortcuts). Every time you need to start an application faster, simply press the left soft key to start the Phone Shortcuts tool and then, from the main menu grid, press the associated key for application. - assign the Phone Shortcuts tool to one entry in the active panel of the main phone screen. Just select the Phone Shortcuts icon from panel to start it then select the desired application. For more information, please see the user guide.

This program helps geocachers with paperless caching.
You can use pocket queries created by geocaching.com or create gpx file with some other application like GSAK.

Note! This program reads only GPX files which have exact format of geocaching.com pocket queries.
You have to be premium member of geogaching.com, to create pocket queries.
This program is slow!
If you have more than 100 caches in your gpx file, then program will be pretty slow when searching caches. However there is no known limit to number of caches in gpx file.

Features (not bugs)
Descriptions and logs have some html code with them.
There are random extra spaces in descriptions.(ok this might be bug, but I have no clue how to fix it)
Search shows only first 30-80 finds and reports out of memory note.
Loading and searching is slow.(Can't fix this without rewriting whole xml parser library)
2nd version don't have scroll bars.

Features planned for new versions
Remove more html elements from descriptions.

Features requested by users:
-Distance from user(via GPS). (This cant’ be done without symbian signing)
-Short caches by, hidden date, distance, last found etc.
Installation instructions:

Method 1:
Download it directly with your phone internet browser.
Method 2:
Send sis package to your phone with bluetooth.
Method 3:
Send it in e-mail attachments to your phone.
Method 4:
Copy to memory card, and install with file manager.
Method 5:
Use PC suite to install.

If you get error “Certificate Error, contact the application supplier”.
To accept all applications and solve this issue:

Go to Tools > App. mgr > Options > Settings.
Change “software installation” from “Signed Only” to “All” and “Online certic. check” to “off”.

This will most likely solve your problem. However,
please be aware that you turned off one extra layer of security for the device.
I wouldn't worry too much about malware or viruses but it is a good role of thumb to
only download and install applications from known sources.

And remember to copy your gpx file to memory card or to phone memory!

Updating from version 1.13 on 3rd devices: Uninstall version 1.13 before installing 1.15 or higher.
Otherwise you end up having two versions installed.
Do not install version 1.15 to memory card, because configuration file can't be saved.(this is a bug fixed in 1.16)

Mail For Exchange v2.1



Mail For Exchange has left 2.0 behind and reached version 2.1​

For those of you who still haven't tried it out - Mail For Exchange is Nokia's implementation of Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. ​

With Mail For Exchange you can over the air synchronize your Microsoft Exchange account with your Nokia Eseries and certain Nseries as well. ​

The new version includes among other things the following enhancements (from the change log):​

Support for new Nokia Nseries devices: N81, N81 8GB, N95 8GB
Heartbeat interval setting is now configured automatically
The Company Directory application is now available as a standalone application via its own .SIS file
It also includes a number of bug fixes and other improvements.​

If you for some reason only want to install the Company Directory Look-up function you can now do that as a standalone SIS installation. Of course, it is also part of the normal installation of MfE.​

My favorite new function is probably the fact that with each new version, set up of MfE as well as instructions are getting better and better. Case in point - initial splash screen warns you of the perils of using PC Suite to synchronize your data while also using MfE (data corruption/loss of data could happen).​

Upgrading from any version prior to Mail for Exchange 2.1.0 requires that you perform a Full Resync. This is required to utilize the Task synchronization feature that was added in version 2.0.0. Perform the installation, start the Mail for Exchange application, and select Options > Full resync. ​

NOTE: Mail For Exchange includes the Company Directory application. The Company Directory sis file is for those that only want GAL functionality and not PIM synchronization capabilities. ​

NOTE: N-Series devices do not support the security features that many network administrators enforce. This can prevent MfE from synchronizing data to your N-Series device. If you think you may be experiencing this problem look in File manager > MailForExchange > admin_log.txt for the text, "This device is unable to implement all requested password policies." Currently the only solution for this is to reduce the server security requirements.
