HOW TO PLAY

The goal of Texas Hold’em is to create the best 5-card poker hand using the 2 cards dealt to you, and 5 community cards.

BLINDS: A hand begins with 2 forced bets, the small and big blinds. In heads-up play, the dealer posts the small blind while the opposing player posts the large blind.

THE DEAL: Both players are dealt two ‘pocket’ cards face down, then the first round of betting occurs.

THE FLOP: 3 community cards are then dealt face up, followed by a 2nd round of betting.

THE TURN: The 4th community card is dealt followed by another round of betting.

THE RIVER: The final community card is the River, which is followed by the final round of betting.

SHOWDOWN: If both players are still in the hand, they show their cards and the best hand takes the pot.

CONTROLS:

UP or 2: Move selection up

DOWN or 8: Move selection down

LEFT or 4: Decrease bet/raise amount

RIGHT or 6: Increase bet/raise amount
